ALL ABOUT SEISHIDO
First of all and most importantly - the copyright thingy?
Seishido Brushes, free sets aswell as unfree ones, and Seishido Textures are copyrighted and cannot be reproduced in any way.
They can be used on artwork and whatever you wanna create but youīre not allowed to claim them as yours or offer any of my artwork
at your website or elsewhere. Seishido Brushes and textures are handmade and original artwork by Janita - thatīs me!
So all archived brushes belong to me and no one else unless otherwise noted.

Most of the free sets are made of illustrations or stampers so the original copyright belongs to their respective owners
and the final brushwork is still copyrighted by me. All brushsets including otherīs artwork are marked through a little
Đ and a link back to where Iīve found the pictures I have made brushes from.
By buying Seishido Brushes do I also buy the copyright?
Placing an order or becoming a member does not mean the brushes you receive will be yours then. You can use them but
theyīll still be copyrighted by me. Seishido Brushes canīt be bought but borrowed for all kind of art! You can use them
as long as you want and for whatever you wanna do but you are not allowed to offer them anywhere, sell them, reproduce or
give sets away to others. The copyright will always belong to Seishido.biz and credit will always have to be given!
What does it mean to give credit?
Once you have used Seishido Brushes or Textures on your artwork, website layouts for example, you have to mention
where they come from. Just add one of my buttons with a link back to Seishido, also a textlink is fine with me as long
as youīve somewhere credited me.

What the hell are brushes?
Well, I think you know what brushes are for but for those who donīt hereīs a little intro. The brushtool
can be found at the Adobe Photoshop graphic programm and this is exactly where you can use my brushes in to make your
digital artwork even more beautiful. Brushes can be used like stamps and in many different ways. No limits for creativity.
Photoshop offers just a few default brushes like shapes, squares and dots. Seishido offers a huge collection of brushes you
can have some extra fun with.
Which version of Photoshop is needed?
All Brushes have been made with Photoshop version 6.0 and are compatible with pc and mac! They
are also working with Photoshop version 7.0, Creative Suite and Photoshop Elements 4.0!
Which version wonīt do it?
Seishido Brushes wonīt work with any Photoshop version lower than 6.0 and I am not sure if they are compatible
with other Elements version but 2.0 and 4.0 since I have never tried that out but these fit. If you did, please let me know. Any advices
are pretty appreciated! Seishido Brushes havenīt been made for Paint Shop Pro or any other program but Photoshop
cause all files are .abr!
Will you ever offer image packs?
No! And there are two reasons why I will never have image packs up here. First of all I donīt have the time to make
images of all these brushsets and the second reason is I am not using Paint Shop Pro or any other program myself. I
just donīt see the sense in that. Seishido Brushes have been made for Adobe Photoshop, deal with it. Itīs the best
program anyways I can tell!
Are Seishido Brushes high quality ones?
YES! Quality is very high over here. Seishido is not just another brush resource, I am only offering sets I would use
myself or have worked with many times on my own projects. I am pretty picky when it comes to design and style,
thatīs why you wonīt find a single set over here thatīs messed up or totally jaggy. If a brush shows up pixeled or
grungy be sure itīs wanted this way and maybe one of the grungy sets.
High resolution and low resolution flowers?
These cutees are there for you to show if a set includes brushes which are actually much bigger as on the preview pictures
or if a set includes small brushes which are not so useful for anything else than 72dpi webwork creations. Brushsets without
any colored flowers are useful for both, high resolution graphics and low resolution artwork. These look great on
everything!
Shows up when the brushes inside are around 1024px large what you
actually cannot display on a simple preview picture. These sets are newer ones and mostly include a high amount of single
brushes in different sizes and rotations. The high flower sets are perfect for print, scrapbooking, photowork and
commercial use. Most of the high resolution sets can be found at the Doodles category as well as the Dressed and Ornamental cats.
Shows up when the brushes inside are not pretty useful for high
resolution graphics. They mostly appear for the oldschool sets, brushes I made for web layouts in the first place and
for my own personal use. These sets are tiny I admit but theyīre also legedary. The first brushes I have ever made and even after
almost 7 years theyīre beloved and typical for Seishido. Iīll never take them off.
What about Seishido Textures?
Theyīve been made of Seishido Brushes and are about 800x600 pixel and 72dpi large with a little signature on the left bottom.
These are no high resolution graphics but they can be entlarged and filtered up to 300dpi. I have used them to create the ThinkBrushy
CD cover designs and they look perfect on there. For high resolution papers have a look at the CD editions!
Can I resize Seishido Brushes?
You can change the size of a brush as long as youīre not trying to make it larger, that wonīt work without a loss of quality
and thatīs why almost every set includes a small and a large version of each brush. By entlarging a brush the result could turn
out pretty jaggy, better donīt try!
Are the previews showing exactly whatīs inside a set?
Yes and no. All these pictures are little artworks itself and not just showing a pure brushset heartlessly previewed,
they also show whatīs possible, in which way just a few brushes can be used. Actually
whatīs on the picture is inside the set but the original brushes mostly are larger than the preview shows. Sets with
more than 20 brushes inside cannot really be previewed at such a tiny picture so expect even more brushy surprises in there.

How can I make a payment?
Actually Paypal is the one and only way to send a payment. Europeans
can also make a payment via bankaccount, please send me an email then to get the details. If you have no Paypal or
bankaccount please ask me for any other ways, registred mail for example. I donīt appreciate it this way because itīs always
a risk but still a possibility. Besides that payments should be made within 7 days cause that is how long I will keep the order before
I delete it.
What are the prices for Seishido Brushes and Textures?
Now that Seishido is a shop I donīt have to worry about traffic anymore. Seishido
Brushsets are $ 1.00 each. No matter how many brushes are inside a set, the price will be the same to keep things simple and
not to make any differences. Seishido Textures are $ 1.00 each aswell and can also be purchased completely as a package. Same thing for
Seishido Brushes which can be ordered as complete categories to get some sets for free.
What about the package prices?
Seishido Brushes are sorted by category and each category can be ordered completely as a package that includes all
brushsets out of this category. The package prices will change from time to time because I am monthly updating Seishido and
every new update means the package prices will be increased but also include more free sets then. By
ordering a category pack you will always pay a little less than ordering all sets seperated. Atleast one set will be for free

Commercial use is but always needs my permission. Means you have to let me know if youīre planning to use my brushes for your

ALL ABOUT COOKIECARDS
First of all and most importantly - what is a cookiecard?
It is a virtual sign, a coupon about different amounts or memberships you can purchase to give it away to
someone else as a gift. Cookiecards are more personal and so much cuter than just sending a brushfile I think.
How exactly do cookiecards work?
The new Cookiecards are a real sendaway. Once you have hit the buy now button you will be forwarded to
Paypal to customize your own Cookiecard. You can choose the amount, type in the informations needed and
even leave a personal message which will come with the card. After your payment has been made someone receives
a gift certificate for a free brushy shoppe at Seishido.biz! The code that comes with the card can be redeemed
through Paypal.
And the other Cookiecards?
The Cookiecards members receive every now and then will work exactly like placing an order.
Each card comes with a special and unique code which can be
entered at the checkout form to make it work. A code can be used once only and is
bound to the person whoīs supposed to turn the cookiecard amount into brushes or a membership. Each card can be designed
individually, with a special greeting or name on to make it a cute gift.
Will the amount be reduced automatically?
No, it has to be changed by the one whoīs paying because Seishido and Paypal are not directly connected.
What if I donīt wanna spend the whole amount?
Then youīll get another cookiecard in return about the amount thatīs left of what your cookiecard was about.

First of all and most importantly - what is ThinkBrushy?
A collection of CD editions exclusively made of Seishido brushes and textures. Each CD has special content on and comes
with a bunch of supercute Seishido merchandise, a free membership cookiecard and lots of love. Every now and then

ALL ABOUT MEMBERSHIP
First of all and most importantly - brushy member?
Yes itīs true, membership is back and available for everyone. You can become part of the cute Seishido family, enjoy the specialness
around here and pick up lovely surprises all throughout the year, even after your membership has ended because I am way too lazy
to delete birthdays out of my calendar. Every member will get an own username and password to access all areas and pick up all extra cookies!
Of course accounts canīt be shared, they are IP bound and I will notice different logins and close accounts then without
refunding the payment that has been made. Please read more about all the other
specials a brushy membership includes and maybe pickup yours and become a member here, too. Brushy members told me itīs worth it!
What if what I am looking for isnīt up here yet?
As a member you can always request a set, make a wish for special textures or ask me whatever you wanna know. As long as I
can help you out I will always and surely do. Actually that is what it means to be part of Seishido!
Will Seishido offline times affect my membership?
These times are pretty rare since this server is perfectly running. In case Iīll change the layout or check
the archive to find and delete non working links Seishido will be down for just a few hours but never longer than
a day. Of course Iīll send a newsletter out and add a hiatus sign to let you know whatīs going on.
But as Iīve said - offline times are damn rare around here and even if Seishido will be down for more than a day every
account will be extended then. Not a single moment will get lost!
How can I get a Koishii, Tomodachi or Itsumo account?
These accounts cannot be purchased! Koishii accounts are random giveaways, mostly happening on cookiedays. Theyīre about
1 month or even longer and for free but you never know when one of these accounts is available and who will get it.
Tomodachi accounts are upgrades every active member can get by telling a friend to sign up for a membership here, too. Then
a membership will be turned into a Tomodachi one and can be extended as many times as friends are available. The rarest account
for sure is the Itsumo one and nowadays only available for commercial members of all categories. When Seishido has been
turned into a shop and membership was down for a while I turned all active memberships from back then into unlimited ones
to show my appreciation for all the love and patience everyone had for me throughout the past years and the process of becoming
an official company. The Itsumo accounts actually were a gift in return for accepting and supporting all the changes Seishido
has been gone through.
What do all these account names exactly mean?
Have I ever mentioned how much I am in love with japan? These account names all are japanese words. Chibi means small,
Kawaii stands for cute, Tomodachi is the word for friend, Koishii describes something beloved and Itsumo means forever in
japan. So all the accounts have their own deeper meanings. And I find this totally sweet. Iīd go for the Koishii account!
Too bad itīs not available, not even for me. My account by the way is a Bakaneko one and Iīm not gonna tell you what that means ^__^
ALL ABOUT CHARITY
Seishido is doing charity?
Actually yes, since many years! I am supporting Viva Con Agua, Four Paws, Every Child and Sidewalk Angels with seasonal donations. It
honestly is not a lot that I can give but even the smallest amount of help counts I think.
How is Seishido doing charity?
There are special charity sets in store which can be puchased just like any other brushy item and half of the the incoming money for
these will be collected and forwarded to one of the organisations I am supporting. Also there are random events such
as the brushy advent calendar which also features special cookiecards to shop a brushset and get one for free. That one dollar then will
join the charity set dollars and every christmas the angelic amount weīve gathered will be sent away to help children or
plushie pets in danger. Always in the name of Seishido members and customers!
Can I take part myself?
Of course, any time you feel like being an angel! Sometimes someone accidently pays a few dollars more than planned and
even though I always offer a refund in many cases people tell me to keep it for the yearly charity event. Some even
send some money my way just because of that and without an order. Still I am giving back and everyone who does will get something
in return such as membership extension or a brandnew brushset that is possibly not in store yet.

Is it really and always you whoīs mailing?
YES! Me and only me, no one else will ever do because staying in touch with everyone is what I love the most about Seishido.
This site actually is a shoppe now but still so precious to me. Iīd never let you wait too long or leave an email unanswered.
